after I send you an inquiry, what is the next step?
1-2 business days after you contact me, I will review your details and make sure I am available for your day! the more details in your initial inquiry, the better! after, I will reach back out to you & we will schedule a phone call to chat & answer any questions about your expectations and vision for your photos! I want to make sure we are on the same page and make sure we are the right fit for each other! all thats left after that is to sign my contract & pay your deposit to officially book your session!
how long is your turn around time?
generally, it’s 2-3 weeks for 1-2 hour sessions & 4-6 weeks for weddings & events. 20 next day previews are included in all my wedding & elopement packages because I know you are going to want to share your photos with everyone! to make sure I am giving your photos the attention to detail they deserve, my turn around time above is as soon as I can get them to you. if you need the photos by a certain date, the best course of action is to make sure to book your session 2 weeks before the day you need the images by so I can get them to you on time! I don’t like to rush editing since it is such a big part of the job I am hired me to do, & I would never want to give you an unfinished product! however, in certain circumstances, I can do rush order editing for an extra $100 fee & have them to you in a 3 day timeframe.
WHat should I wear for my session? & How many outfits can i bring? Can i bring someone else?
the most important thing above all is to wear something you feel the most confident & comfortable in! what shows up the best on camera (besides confidence) are colors that compliment you, earth tones, neutrals, solids & basic patterns that don’t distract too much from you & your story being the focus of the photos! if the session is 1 hour, 2 outfit changes is the max we can fit in to that time slot, 2 hour sessions allow for 3-4 outfit changes. & bring whoever also makes you feel the most comfortable! if you need more than one hype woman (me), lets make this shoot a party!
Do you shoot film as well?
I do! all my wedding packages come with one roll of film, and my other sessions typically get a few shots from my point and shoot, but film can get expensive quickly & my regular packages don’t account for those development, supplies, & shipping costs. you can review my pricing calculator here to look at film add ons!
Can i get my raw images?
WHen is the best time to schedule our session?
Do you ever travel for elopements or weddings?
no, I do not give out RAW images. if you are unhappy with your photos, let’s get on a phone call & discuss what can be fixed to make you love your photos. my RAW images are not my final product & with these images attached to my name, I would never want someone seeing my unfinished product thinking that it is my work. editing is so much of photography, & I only feel comfortable sending out what I am proud of representing me. I want you to be pleased with the end result as well, & I believe with communicating what needs to be changed, we can reach a final result that makes everyone happy!
the easiest time to shoot is in the morning when the sun is rising, or in the afternoon a few hours before the sunsets. I have been loving blue hour and night sessions lately, so we can totally set your session to end in the dark if you are wanting to go for some cinematic photos! If you want to shoot in the morning, we are aiming for 7:30am-8:30am as a start time & in the evening 2 hours before sunset (30 minutes before if you want to shoot past sunset).
yes YES yes!!! I would LOVE to travel for your day/session. required travel fees are flights and accommodations for 2 days so i can make sure I am present the day before your session, & the the day of your session. I am maine based currently, but service all over new england, colorado, texas, la, and nyc without fees.
