visiting home

chris & I visited my parents this summer in austin & remembered why I do love parts of texas even though I moved away for a ton of reasons. it truly always feels like home, & although austin has really changed over the last 20 years of me visiting, there is still so much magic about the hill country and I really do believe it is one of the most beautiful parts of texas. I did a wedding for some of my favorite clients, did my sisters senior photos & some portraits of my parents, which was so special since I don’t take as many photos of them anymore as I did when Iived with them. we went to barton springs, had tons of mexican food, ate a TON of fast food that we don’t have in maine, and ate kolaches every single morning with coffee on the back patio. it was a dream.
